Fakie 180 Shove-It
Here's another very basic shove-it move -- the Fakie 180 Shove-It. Yes, I re-filmed this move to get a little better footage than was on the old site.

Like the regular 180 Shove-It, this move is good for mixing into a footwork line. It's also very useful for street skating, and it's the move on which the Fakie Big Spin is based.

Check out the video clip here.

Begin the move rolling backward at a comfortable speed. You rear foot should be on the tail, and front foot right on top of the front truck.

As you begin the move, crouch slighty to prepare to jump.

Now, raise the nose an kick it around, as if you were going to make the board do a kickturn. At the same time, jump up, allowing the board to rotate under you. As you can see in the images, the board actually does a pivot around the rear wheels as you jump.

Watch the board as it comes around, and when it completes the 180 put your feet down and catch it. It is important on this trick (and all tricks) to stay centered over your board.

Land the move, and continue rolling fakie, or pivot around frontside or backside.
