About Bob's Trick Tips
History Bob's Trick Tips began in 1998, when I noticed that the current generation of skaters didn't seem to know about any older tricks. Using a very cheap art program on my computer, I drew up some horrible little pictures to describe how to do some old tricks. Over the next few months the site got really popular. I began getting email from skaters all over the world. Then I got an offer to purchase advertising on the site. At that point, I purchased the BTT domain name, got a new computer, a camcorder, and some software, and began BTT phase 2. The site reached nearly 100 tricks. My server company wasn't too happy with the bandwidth I was using, so I had to take down most of the tricks while I shopped for a new hosting company. Upon finding a good deal, I began to slowly add tricks back into the system. The site has been through a few redesigns. While I originally added content on a weekly basis, I now do it whenever I see fit. Using this new content management system, I plan to update more often (the system makes it much easier). Mission This site is intended to provide instruction to beginning and intermediate skateboarders, covering a wide range of tricks. I try to cover both new and old moves -- it's all skateboarding. You will also find an occasional tip on bearing maintenance or other technical topic, or a product or video review. But the main thing here is tricks, and lots of them. Contact Info You can contact Bob's Trick tips at bobstricktips@yahoo.com. I try to answer all my email, but I get a lot, so please don't take it personally if I don't respond, or if I respond slowly.
