For the last couple of years Autobahn has been making some of the best wheels on the market. I started riding their dual-duro wheels on my newschool setup a while back, and I haven't looked back since. Best newschool wheels out there.
The wheels have a super hard urethane core, surrounded by a 97a outer layer. That's a bit softer than your typical newschool wheel, but with the core these wheels retain the newschool speed but are a bit smoother rolling than most wheels in a real street situation. The resulting smoothness gives you a little more flow, a little more ability to ignore surface imperfections, and a less jarring ride. Nice.
Autobahn makes a few different shapes, and even a softer "filmer" wheel. All good. Most of the dual duro wheels seem to have pretty much the same shape -- a fairly narrow tech shape. Not the narrowest I've seen, but certainly not wide at all. Even being narrow, they have pretty good grip when you need it, due to the 97a outer layer.
