I call this trick the Shove-It Shuffle. Its sort of a 180 Shove-It revert. Its a great trick to do on steep driveways, banks, ditches, etc. This is not a super hard trick, but it does require control. Its a good trick for beginners to learn.
The move involves riding up a bank, doing a 180 shove-it off the nose, catching the board in a wheelie, and kickturning back the way you came.
Before you learn this trick, make sure you can do a normal 180 Shove-It. Learn to do the normal Shove-It on a gentle bank, like this one, and then try the Shove-It Shuffle. Check out the video clip here. |

I roll up the bank with my feet in the basic Shove-It position. As I approach the top of the wall, I begin the 180 Shove-It. |

As the board comes around for the 180, I'm watching it closely. Its important that your feet come down in a good wheelie position. You can't really do this if you are not watching the board. You want to land so the the ball of your rear foot comes down in the middle of the tail, so you will be in a clean wheelie.

OK. Now that I've caught the board, I swing it back in a frontside kickturn. This is the part of the trick that makes it kind of quirky and cool. Though its not that hard, the fact that you catch the board in a wheelie and reverse the direction its turning is kind of cool. |

I complete the turn and skate down the wall. |
