The Rail to Casper is a fairly easy, basic freestyle move. It simple involves moving from a rail stand to a casper. I do a little over the top casper 180 to get out of the casper, but there are other things you could do.
This is a good trick for a street board too. There is no reason you can't learn it on a normal board. Check out the video clip here. |

In frame 1, I'm in a basic rail stand. For all you guys who play the Tony Hawk video game -- this is a RAIL STAND -- not a Primo.

In frame 3, I take my weight off the board slightly, actually jumping a little bit, I guess. The rear foot tips the board over. In frame 4, I'm continuing the process. My rear foot is coming down in a perfect casper position, and my front foot is getting under the board. |

Frame 5 shows my rear foot in casper position, and my front foot has caught the board. Neither the board, nor my front foot, touch the ground.

In these last frames, I am completing the flip out of the casper. I land solidly, ready for another trick or some footwork. |
