OK, here's another ledge/funbox trick - the Frontside Tail Slide. I guess it would help if you can do an Ollie to Tail, so I'll put that up pretty soon.
I think you could probably learn this trick on a slick, painted curb. That might make it easier to get used to the whole sliding aspect. One nice thing about this trick is that its an easy bail (not that you should be bailing). Check out the video clip here. |

Approach the ledge frontside, at a slight angle. Spot the place on the ledge where you want to touch down for the slide. You need to be going fast enough to get a good slide. Ollie nice and high - high enough to get the tail up there. |

As you ollie, turn your body and board 90 degrees frontside, so you can land with the tail on the ledge.

Once you are locked into the tail-to-ledge position, you just stand there calmly, keep your balance, and let it slide. |

Fletcher does this move to fakie, which I think flows really nicely. As he approaches the end of the box, he begins to turn his body and board another 90 degrees frontside. As he does this, he unweights and gives the tail a little push to get it around, and comes down solidly, rolling fakie. |
